Last October 2023, Nauplia Capital acquired the shares of Marina Hércules S.A., the concessionaire of the Ceuta Marina. This company, which owns seven additional ports on the peninsula, has implemented a series of significant changes to enhance the experience for users and visitors.
Among the notable improvements are the relocation of the port parking exit. This measure aims to facilitate access and egress, avoiding the queues that used to form in the marina village. The investment for this modification amounted to €120,000.00.
Investment in new machinery for the port’s boatyard, which includes the purchase of a new forklift.
Construction of three new showers and the renovation of the existing ones.
Installation of a new WIFI network providing better connectivity throughout the marina.
Investment in computer equipment at the fuel station and installation of a new self-service terminal.
Currently, a comprehensive renovation project is underway at the port. The goal is to modernize the facilities by establishing an office area, a commercial zone, and a third area dedicated to leisure and dining. Additionally, efforts are being made to integrate the port, removing visual barriers that previously isolated the marina from the rest of the city. It is noteworthy that the port is located in the heart of Ceuta’s old town.
Nauplia Capital’s vision extends beyond mere port management. They aim to open the port to the local community and transform it into a space for family, commerce, and leisure. The excellent views of the Strait of Gibraltar add an extra appeal for those wishing to stroll and enjoy this maritime environment.
