Marina Hércules and Alcaidesa Marina: United to Become the Reference Ports of the Strait

Marina Hércules Ceuta and Alcaidesa Marina have signed a Strategic Agreement that promises to strengthen their position as key hubs for navigation in the Strait of Gibraltar. The signing of the agreement, symbolically held next to the statue of Hercules, evokes the image of the two marinas as the modern Columns of Hercules, guarding each side of the strait.

The central aim of this pact is to stimulate maritime traffic between the two ports by offering exclusive services and attractive discounts for both regular clients and passing sailors.

Thanks to this agreement, it is hoped that sailors will be encouraged to visit both ports, taking advantage of the benefits and facilities provided. The goal is to position Alcaidesa Marina and Marina Hércules Ceuta as the reference ports for the busy Strait of Gibraltar route.

The executives of both marinas have expressed their enthusiasm for the signing of this agreement and hope that more ports will join in the future, forming a network of collaboration that enhances the Strait of Gibraltar as a top maritime destination, rather than merely a transit point.

To commemorate this alliance, a charity rally was organized in collaboration with Boat Shed Gibraltar, which saw participation from over 70 sailing enthusiasts from Gibraltar and Alcaidesa Marina. The event not only marked the start of the agreement but also highlighted both marinas’ commitment to solidarity and support for charitable causes.

Marina Hércules particularly thanks Turismo Ceuta for their essential support in organizing guided tours for the rally’s tourists, providing an enriching experience that allowed them to explore the beauty and history of Ceuta.

We also want to thank Parque Ceuta del Mediterráneo for their collaboration in the event’s success. The cooperation between the marina and local administrations is key to promoting Ceuta as a preferred tourist destination for sailors and visitors from the Andalusian region.
